Cake Varieties

Victoria Tea Cake: A yellow sponge cake sandwiched with raspberry jam and our homemade vanilla butter cream. The cake is then dusted with powdered sugar. This cake serves 8-10 people and is probably our most popular one. Excellent with tea or coffee for a relaxing time, a small piece goes a long way.
 
Blueberry Coffee Cake: Large 8-inch double layer cake sandwiching blueberries and cinnamon sugar and topped with cinnamon sugar. Easily serves 10, sometimes we have to include some great American classics when they are this good. 

English Peach Cake: Moist yellow sponge cake with peaches, cinnamon, nutmeg, and Demerara sugar baked right on top. A classic summer sponge cake from England. Serves 8 on its own and also excellent with vanilla ice cream or just heavy cream poured on the side or whipped and put on top.

Swedish Apple and Almond Cake: This cake is baked with sliced apples soaked in cinnamon sugar, fanned on top, and sprinkled with almonds. An attractive cake (and quite delicious), it will arrive for one of the autumn months of your share. Serves 8 on its own or with a little ice cream or cream.

Pear and Sour Cream Cake: A tall moist cake leavened with sour cream (a classic Yiddish/Eastern European trick). Topped with sliced pears and serving 8, this coffee or light dessert cake will arrive for one of the Autumn months of your share.

Radical Roots Farm is located on Creek Road (also known as Dorr Drive) in Rutland.  We are directly across the street from #531 Creek Road, Rutland Town, VT. Look for our sign in front of our farm stand.
